White House Announces 2026 Halloween Celebration

President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump will host a Halloween celebration on the White House South Lawn on Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The event will welcome thousands of children and families with tickets, including military, law enforcement, foster, and adoptive families.

The festivities will feature trick-or-treat booths, spooky decorations, and a harvest Moon display. The President and First Lady will distribute commemorative candy, while the U.S. Air Force Strolling Strings perform Halloween favorites and modern tunes.

Participating organizations will offer activities and treats, including toy mail trucks and a postcard station from the U.S. Postal Service, mini pumpkins from the USDA, apples from Michigan, coloring books, candy, and science-experiment kits for children.

The Secret Service will enforce security restrictions on personal items, although strollers, wheelchairs, cameras, and medically necessary items are permitted. Organizers warn that the event will not be rescheduled if canceled due to bad weather or other circumstances. Attendees can call (202) 456-7040 for event-status updates.
