An ex-convict named Asia Reaves (Zazie Beetz) takes a housekeeping job at a prestigious, mysterious New York City high-rise called "The Virgil" while searching for her estranged younger sister. She soon discovers that the building’s wealthy, elite residents are members of a centuries-old Satanic cult that maintains its immortality through dark rituals and human sacrifice. Armed with the combat skills she honed in prison, Asia must transform into a one-woman army to fight her way through the building’s labyrinthine floors and rescue her sister from the clutches of the murderous inhabitants. The film clocks in at 1 h 34 m, is rated R and is currently streaming on HBO Max. Please note there are SPOILERS in this review.
