In which the Mister joins me in reviewing CAUGHT STEALING (2025), from a screenplay by Charlie Huston, the film is directed by Darren Aronofsky.

A former baseball prodigy turned bartender named Hank Thompson (Austin Butler) finds his quiet life in 1998 New York City upended when he agrees to pet-sit for his eccentric neighbor.  Unbeknownst to him, the favor pulls him into the crosshairs of several ruthless criminal factions, including Russian and Hasidic mobsters, who are all desperate to recover a hidden fortune linked to the neighbor’s apartment.  As Hank is forced into a violent, high-stakes game of survival across the city, he must confront his own troubled past and personal demons to stay alive and protect those he holds dear.  The film clocks in at 1 h 47 m, is rated R and is currently streaming on Netflix but is also available to buy/rent on Prime Video.  Please note there are SPOILERS in this review.
