Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian says Tehran is ready to revive a June agreement aimed at ending the war with the United States — but only if Washington returns to its commitments. Saudi channel Al-Hadath says the fighting may have followed a failed attempt by an Israel-linked local militia to abduct a prominent figure.

Marwan Barghouti could run in the next Palestinian Authority presidential election, according to his son. Barghouti has been imprisoned in Israel since 2002 and is serving five life sentences plus 40 years after being convicted of five murders and attempted murder.

Some 2.6 million Israeli children are returning to school today, beginning the first academic year since October 7th without a major war underway. Schools now face the legacy of nearly three years of conflict — from learning gaps and trauma to a wider debate over what Israeli children should be taught about identity, history and national resilience.
