"Look at Someone with New Eyes" (刮目相看, guā mù xiāng kàn) comes from the *Jiang Biao Zhuan* (《江表传》), quoted in Pei Songzhi's commentary to Chen Shou's *Records of the Three Kingdoms: Biography of Lü Meng* (《三国志·吕蒙传》) — the story of the Wu general Lü Meng, who threw himself into study. Over 1,800 years old.
