You've calculated your deficit. You've been tracking. The scale was moving — and then it stopped. Or maybe it never moved at all. And now you're convinced your body just doesn't respond to a calorie deficit the way it's supposed to.


Here's what I want you to know before we get into it: a calorie deficit is scientifically required for weight loss — no exceptions. But there's a big difference between thinking you're in a deficit and actually being in one. And even when you are, there are specific things that can make it stop working or appear to not be working at all.
