At SNIPPY 2026 in Colorado’s San Luis Valley, I sit down with retired Arizona police officer Marianne Robb, co-founder of UAP-PD, for a fascinating conversation about law enforcement, UFOs, paranormal encounters, cryptids, and the stigma that can keep first responders silent.
Marianne spent 34 years in Arizona law enforcement, working as a patrol officer, detective, and crime prevention specialist. She later joined MUFON Arizona, serving as a field investigator and instructor and teaching investigators how to apply professional law enforcement techniques such as evidence collection and advanced interviewing to UFO cases.
Together with retired police officer Dave Rich, Marianne co-founded UAP-PD, an organization created to provide law enforcement officers, firefighters, paramedics, and other first responders with a safe place to report and discuss extraordinary encounters without fear of ridicule or damage to their careers.
And there is a reason this mission is so personal.
Marianne tells the remarkable story of a reported 911 call involving apparent paranormal activity at a high school while Dave was still an active police officer. She discusses the investigation, analysis of the mysterious voice, and what happened when the case reached his supervisor.
