From SNIPPY 2026 in Colorado’s beautiful San Luis Valley, I sit down with astronomer and UFO photo and video analyst Marc D’Antonio for a fascinating conversation about what we are really seeing in the skies.
Marc has a degree in Astronomy and serves as MUFON’s Chief Photo and Video Analyst. He is also the chief photo and video analyst for History Channel’s The Proof Is Out There, host of SkyTour Radio, and creator of the SkyTour LiveStream observatories.
We start with the incredible dark skies of the San Luis Valley and what Marc and the SNIPPY attendees were able to see during the weekend’s skywatches. From there, we dive into astronomy, the James Webb Space Telescope, the Vera Rubin Observatory, satellites, Starlink, and the challenge of separating the truly anomalous from the ordinary.
Marc also shares something especially interesting. His own sky camera captured an object that appeared to behave like a satellite before suddenly changing direction. He plans to submit the footage to his own MUFON photo analysis team for an independent look.
Then we get into GoFast, Gimbal, Tic Tac, and other government-released UAP videos.
Marc explains why his analysis of several famous videos led him to conclusions that may surprise people. He argues that in some cases, the reason footage was classified may have had more to do with the technology and sensors used to capture it than with the object itself.
That raises an important question: Are we sometimes mistaking classified sensor technology for classified UFO evidence?
In this episode: • SNIPPY 2026 skywatching in the San Luis Valley • Why truly dark skies matter • The Milky Way from horizon to horizon • James Webb and the Vera Rubin Observatory • Marc’s own unexplained sky-camera footage • Satellites and Starlink complicating UFO observations • MUFON photo and video analysis • GoFast, Gimbal and Tic Tac • Why classified footage does not automatically mean a classified object • How sensor technology can change what we think we are seeing • Why independent analysis and multiple opinions matter • SkyTour LiveStream and free astronomy education
Marc brings something extremely important to this field: a willingness to follow the evidence even when the answer is not the one people expect.
Please share your theory in the comments. Stay curious. Keep digging deeper.
