Most travelers come to Sapa for trekking and the incredible mountain scenery, but what is Sapa town actually like? I spent the day walking the streets, trying Vietnamese food, searching for coffee, getting a $10 massage, experiencing a traditional herbal bath, and meeting locals along the way.

From trying Sapa’s famous chestnut cake (Bánh Hạt Dẻ) to some unexpected encounters, this day showed me a completely different side of Sapa, Vietnam.
