Shame is over (if you want it). Shame at its best teaches us a valuable lesson that what we've done isn't aligned with who we want to be. At it's worst, its forced upon us by external, dominant culture messaging that wants us to comply to an impossible standard. We aren't meant to carry lingering shame forever. Once it's taught it's lesson, it's time to let go.
