Never Open the Vents

After receiving a missing-eyed, begrimed stuffed clown named Blinky from his grandmother as a young child, the narrator experiences brief paranormal occurrences before the toy mysteriously disappears, only for it to resurface 14 years later when he moves into a new apartment. The entity behind the doll stalked the protagonist for years from secret hideouts behind the walls, eventually confronting him to harvest his eye—a fate his grandmother evaded by giving the toy away before her death—and forcefully gouging it out with a spoon to replace its own missing button eye. Though the narrator manages to escape, destroy the toy, and end up committed to a psychiatric facility after police apprehend him, the inescapable psychological trauma and lingering vision of the clown drive him to write a final warning and end his life in his cell."Blinky".
