Timmy Gibson knows the evangelical playbook from the inside. He pastored for thirty years and walked away. On Homicide Happy Hour, he explained why Caleb Flynn will never admit to what he did. Flynn was convicted on all nine counts in the murder of his wife Ashley in Tipp City, Ohio, and sentenced to life without parole. Gibson says the same mental gymnastics that let Flynn justify the affair now justify the silence. The system teaches that your primary debt is to God, not to the person you harmed. When Flynn said "God is my judge," he meant it literally. Tony brought up Alleigha Botner's missing laptop and phone. Gibson believes Botner was operating under the assumption that Flynn would divorce his wife. She was preparing for that fight, not a murder investigation. Gibson says the entire structure of evangelical faith made Flynn's double life not just possible but inevitable.
