Reel Spooky Series 2026 Presents: 🩸🧛🏿🎃 What We Do in the Shadows Season 1 — Centuries Old, Still This Dumb

🩸🧛🏿🎃 What We Do in the Shadows — Centuries Old, Still This Dumb

Joshua Hunter continues the Reel Spooky Series with What We Do in the Shadows Season 1, the FX mockumentary series based on the Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi film, following a group of ancient vampire roommates — Nandor (Kayvan Novak), Laszlo (Matt Berry), Nadja (Natasia Demetriou), and energy vampire Colin Robinson (Mark Proksch) — navigating modern-day Staten Island while their human familiar Guillermo (Harvey Guillén) handles their increasingly chaotic needs. Centuries of immortal wisdom, and somehow they're still this dumb.

Joshua breaks down how the show translates the film's deadpan mockumentary horror-comedy into a full series without losing its bite, digs into the ensemble cast's brilliant comedic timing, & gives his honest verdict on whether this season earns its reputation as one of the funniest shows on TV.
