Jesus said it plainly: "But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you" (Matthew 6:6, NIV).
God sees what is done in secret. Not what is broadcasted. Not what is liked and shared. Not what goes viral. What is done in the hidden place — that's what moves His heart.
And yet, if we're honest, the hidden place is the hardest place to stay.
Because nobody is cheering when you choose patience over reaction for the fourteenth time that week. Nobody is documenting the moment you open your Bible app instead of doom-scrolling at midnight. Nobody sees the war you're winning inside your own mind just to believe that you are still called, still chosen, still being shaped into something beautiful. That kind of work doesn't trend. But it transforms.
"Courage doesn't always look like standing on a stage. Sometimes it looks like standing in your kitchen and choosing to believe God one more time." — Kristianne Wargo
TRUTH: You are not behind. You are not invisible to the One who counts.
Zechariah 4:10 reminds us not to despise the day of small beginnings, because the Lord Himself rejoices to see the work begin. Not the work completed. Not the work applauded. The work begun. That quiet, trembling first step you keep taking every single morning — heaven is cheering for that.
The K.I.S.S. ~ Grow where no one claps! So why does it still feel so heavy?
Because the need for validation is loud. And that need is relentless. It shows up disguised as comparison, discouragement, and that familiar whisper that says, "If this mattered, someone would've noticed by now."
But that voice doesn't get to write your story. That voice doesn't know what God is building underground. Roots don't grow in the spotlight — they grow in the dark, in the pressure, in the unseen soil where no one is looking. And those roots? They're the reason you won't be uprooted when the storm comes.
Think about Esther. Before the crown, before the throne room, before she ever opened her mouth to save a nation — there were months of preparation no one talks about. Quiet obedience. Unseen surrender. She didn't know what she was being prepared for. She just stayed faithful in the waiting. And when the moment came, she was ready — not because she had an audience, but because she had been shaped in the silence.
You were called for such a time as this, too. Not someday when you've arrived. Right now, in the messy middle, the growth, the ache of becoming.
"The woman who grows without applause is the woman who stands without apology." — Kristianne Wargo
So today, if your hands are tired and your heart feels thin and the finish line looks like it moved again — don't you dare quit. Not here. Not now. Not when you're this close to something only faithfulness can unlock.
- The growth you can't see is still growth.
- The prayers no one hears are still heard.
- The obedience no one notices is still recorded in heaven.
You were never meant to bloom for an audience. You were meant to bloom for a purpose.
"One step at a time leads to miles of greatness." — Kristianne Wargo
Keep growing, even where no one claps. Especially there. Because that's holy ground — and God is doing something beautiful in your becoming.
