There's a quiet ache that comes from doing all the right things and still not seeing the breakthrough. The prayers have been prayed. The steps have been taken. The showing up has happened even on the days when quitting felt easier. And yet — the door hasn't opened. The answer hasn't come. The thing that's been hoped for and believed for still feels like it's sitting somewhere just out of reach. What happens when the answer is wait?

If any of that sounds familiar today, sweet friend, hear this clearly: faithfulness is not falling on deaf ground, and no one who walks with God is ever forgotten. Sometimes the wisest, hardest, most purposeful thing He will ever ask us to do is wait.

Waiting is not a word most of us love. We live in a world of instant everything — instant answers, instant access, instant results. So when God meets our deepest prayers with silence, or with a "not yet," it can feel like rejection. But wisdom tells us otherwise.

Psalm 27:14 says, "Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD" (NIV).

Waiting requires action. But it's specific action. It doesn't say sit down and be discouraged by the timing. It says be strong. Take heart. There is active, holy work happening in the waiting — and that work is being done in you.

Think about it this way. A seed doesn't sprout the moment it's planted. It sits in the dark. It's surrounded by dirt. And from the outside, nothing looks like it's happening. But underneath the surface? Roots are forming. Structure is building. Life is pressing its way toward the light. That's what's happening in your season of waiting. God isn't punishing you with a pause — He's preparing you for what's coming. The wait is not wasted when you're walking through it with Him.

Isaiah 40:31 reminds us, "But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint" (NIV).

Did you catch that progression? Soar. Run. Walk. Most of us want to start at soaring — we want the mountaintop moment, the instant testimony, the overnight answer. But God often begins His greatest work in the walking. One faithful step after another.

"One step at a time leads to miles of greatness." ~ Kristianne Wargo

And here's the beautiful truth tucked inside that verse: He promises that even in the walking, you will not faint. You will not run out of what you need to keep going. When your hope is anchored in Him, your strength doesn't depend on the speed of the answer — it depends on the steadiness of the One who holds you.

The K.I.S.S. ~ When the answer is wait!

Maybe you've been asking God for clarity about your next chapter. Maybe you've been praying over a relationship, a career shift, a child who's struggling, a dream that feels like it's been on hold for longer than you ever imagined. And every day you show up again and whisper, "God, I trust You — but how much longer?" I want you to know: that prayer is not falling on deaf ears.

In Habakkuk 2:2–3, God gives a powerful instruction: "Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay" (NIV).

Read that again slowly if you need to. It will certainly come. God is not uncertain about your future. He has an appointed time. And He's asking you to trust Him enough to hold on — because what He has promised, He will deliver.

Here's what I've learned in my own seasons of waiting: the wait reveals what we really believe. When things are moving and the blessings are flowing, it's easy to say, "I trust God." But when the answer is wait — when the silence stretches longer than we expected — that's when our faith is forged into something real. Even the wait requires action; it just shows up in the building of your faith: "Walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV)."

And that real, tested, fire-refined faith is the kind of faith that changes lives. Not just yours — but the lives of every woman watching how you carry yourself through the messy middle.

Maybe your one step is simply staying. Staying faithful. Staying prayerful. Staying surrendered. Staying expectant even when you can't see what's ahead. Keep that kind of wisdom in motion.

So if you find yourself in a season of waiting, don't let the enemy convince you that the delay means denial. Don't let comparison steal the peace God is building in your spirit right now. And don't you dare give up five minutes before your miracle.

Your wait has purpose. Your patience is producing something. And the God who planted that dream in your heart is the same God who will work out all things for good — right on time.

Keep walking. Keep trusting. Keep becoming. Your "now" is being created — even in the wait.

Create your now.

"Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"
