Who is Lilith—and why does this ancient figure continue to appear in modern culture?
Rebecca Greenwood continues her exploration of the Queen of Heaven by examining Lilith, her ancient origins and traditions, and the ways Lilith has been reinterpreted throughout history and today.
From ancient mythology and occult traditions to art, entertainment, sexuality, and contemporary portrayals of female empowerment, Rebecca examines the connections she sees between ancient beliefs surrounding Lilith and modern cultural expressions. She also discusses references and translations associated with Isaiah 34 and explains why understanding the history behind these spiritual figures is important to her approach to biblical discernment and spiritual warfare.
Rebecca also shares experiences from her years in deliverance ministry involving what she identifies as incubus and succubus spirits, along with testimonies of people she says have experienced freedom through prayer. Throughout the conversation, her emphasis remains on Christ's authority and the hope of freedom rather than fear of spiritual darkness.
If you listened to “Who Is the Queen of Heaven?” and “Ishtar: The Ancient Goddess and Her Influence Today,” this episode continues the series by examining another figure Rebecca discusses in Dethroning the Queen of Heaven.
