Boston Blackie, “Tv Poisoning,” originally broadcast December 20, 1945, is episode 49. Richard Kollmar stars as Blackie, with Jan Minor as Mary Wesley and Maurice Tarplin as Inspector Farraday.

Blackie and Mary borrow an apartment with an early television set to watch Inspector Farraday appear on a live civic forum. When a prominent civic leader suddenly collapses during the broadcast, Blackie investigates an apparently impossible poisoning amid a bitter city-contracts dispute.

Old Time Retro Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
