Boston Blackie presents “Blackie Loves Helen,” originally broadcast February 4, 1948. Listed as episode 160, this installment stars Richard Kollmar as the resourceful Boston Blackie, with Lesley Woods as Mary Wesley and Maurice Tarplin as Inspector Farraday.
When Mary finds Blackie apparently involved with Helen Carver, a romantic misunderstanding soon intersects with a dangerous scheme involving Harry Kane, a locked safe, and papers someone wants destroyed. Blackie’s old safecracking talents become central to the case.
Old Time Retro Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
