When a man is shot at 10 Barton Road, gangster Henry Williams fears he was the intended target and turns to Boston Blackie for help. With Inspector Farraday on the case, Blackie follows clues from the city’s East Side rackets—and finds that an ordinary newspaper item may hold unexpected significance.
