Boston Blackie, “Blackie Goes to Jail for Diamond Theft,” originally broadcast December 3, 1946. Episode 99 finds the resourceful detective caught in a diamond-theft case that has already brought Inspector Farraday’s investigation to a close.
Convicted of the theft and of trying to sell the missing gems, Blackie is sent to the state penitentiary while Mary Wesley refuses to accept the evidence against him at face value. Richard Kollmar stars as Boston Blackie, with Jan Miner as Mary Wesley and Maurice Tarplin as Inspector Farraday, in this Frederic W. Ziv syndicated series installment.
Old Time Retro Radio presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned and mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
