What makes an experience feel effortless? More often than not, it’s the work no one ever sees.
After years of experiencing luxury from the guest side—and then spending years behind the scenes creating weddings, events, hospitality experiences, and partnerships—I’ve come to appreciate just how much preparation goes into making something feel easy.
In this episode, I’m talking about anticipation, logistics, resourcefulness, and the importance of thinking several steps ahead. Because when the seating plan is done, the transportation is mapped, the weather has been considered and the details are handled, you have something incredibly valuable when the unexpected happens: the capacity to pivot.
From rain moving wedding tables to lost bridal-party luggage, repurposing flowers, island logistics and a moment when guest safety had to take priority, these experiences have shaped my definition of luxury.
To me, luxury is feeling cared for in ways you didn't even know you needed.
And perhaps the greatest luxury of all is when someone has done so much thinking behind the scenes that, from your perspective, everything just feels... easy.
