Directed by Luc Besson, this 1997 sci-fi spectacle stars Bruce Willis as Korben Dallas, a future New York cab driver whose day goes from “traffic sucks” to “a genetically engineered supreme being just fell through my roof.” Enter Milla Jovovich as Leeloo, the literal Fifth Element, who can absorb all human knowledge instantly… yet still talks like she just rebooted Windows 95.
Throw in Gary Oldman chewing the scenery as Zorg (a villain who looks like a melted crayon with corporate ambitions), Chris Tucker detonating the movie’s tone as Ruby Rhod, and Ian Holm doing priest stuff in space—and you’ve got a movie that absolutely refuses to calm down.
