President Trump Signs 10 Bills Into Law Covering Infrastructure, Public Lands, and Consumer Protection

On October 20, 2026, President Donald Trump signed 10 bills into law addressing religious exemptions from Social Security, domestic manufacturing, public land transfers, fraud prevention, human trafficking, and energy permitting.

Key measures include the Critical Infrastructure Manufacturing Feasibility Act, which directs the Department of Commerce to study the feasibility of producing high-demand imported products in the United States, and the Romance Scam Prevention Act, which requires online dating services to notify users when they receive messages from members banned for fraudulent activity.

Other laws authorize land transfers to local governments and organizations, including Gila County, Arizona, the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe in Washington, and the Southcentral Foundation in Alaska. The legislation also requires human trafficking detection training for certain Department of Labor employees and transfers federal land for a new interpretive center at Vicksburg National Military Park.

In addition, the Chiricahua National Park Act redesignates Chiricahua National Monument in southeastern Arizona as a national park, while the License to Drill Act extends the Interior Department’s authority to collect oil and gas permit-processing fees.

The Clergy Act gives eligible ministers, members of religious orders, and Christian Science practitioners a two-year period to apply to revoke their exemption from Social Security coverage.

Overall, the legislation spans domestic manufacturing, consumer fraud protection, public land management, conservation, human trafficking prevention, and energy development.
