In this episode, I'm pulling back the curtain on one of the biggest problems in healthcare: the lack of education surrounding the pelvic floor.

From pregnancy pain being dismissed as "normal" to postpartum symptoms being brushed aside, too many women are left feeling confused, unsupported, and wondering why no one prepared them for what they're experiencing.

I'm sharing my personal story, why pelvic floor education became such a passion of mine, and how the lack of awareness affects everything from pregnancy pain and leaking to birth preparation, postpartum recovery, and even patient safety.

Trigger warning, this episode talks about being sexually abused by a medical professional disguising his treatment as pelvic floor.

We'll talk about:

• Why so many women don't know what their pelvic floor actually does

• Common myths and misconceptions surrounding pelvic health

• The gap between what moms need and what they're often told

• Why "just do kegels" isn't the answer

• How understanding your body can help you feel stronger, more confident, and more supported during pregnancy and postpartum

If you've ever felt dismissed, discouraged, or like you were expected to simply live with pain, leaking, weakness, or discomfort, this episode is for you.

Because pregnancy pain may be common, but that doesn't mean it's normal. And every mom deserves access to the education and support needed to feel comfortable and confident in her body.
