Always saying yes can feel like the easiest way to keep the peace and maintain your relationships. But what happens when saying yes to everyone means saying no to yourself?
In this episode, I share Vera’s story. She was always there for her family, her work and her boyfriend, until she realised that her inability to say “no” was actually pushing away the people she most wanted to feel close to. We’ll explore boundaries, guilt, the fear of disappointing others, and why setting limits doesn’t have to mean creating conflict or pushing people away. Because healthy boundaries don’t create distance. They can actually bring us closer, helping us build stronger, healthier and more respectful relationships.
And at the end of the episode, I’ll share a simple tool to help you start setting boundaries through what I call “elegant assertiveness”, standing up for what matters to you without creating unnecessary conflict.
