In this episode of the International Enneagram Association podcast, we listen to the first part of a discussion with Laura Baker, Jack Killen and the late-David Daniels as they talk about The Brain Group – a collaboration with Laura, Jack, David, Denise Daniels and Dan Siegel – and the model they’ve developed called Patterns of Developmental Processing. The human brain and the mind operate in the world by looking and seeing for patterns, making assumptions based on those patterns, and then motivating actions on that basis. These five researchers bring their own perspective to discuss how the Enneagram might develop over someone’s lifespan and the connections between the nine early temperaments that align perfectly with the nine Enneagram types. They also explore some of the challenges they saw in the development of their model.
