In this episode of the International Enneagram Association podcast, Leslie Hershberger speaks with Maria Beesing, co-founder of the IEA and co-author of “The Enneagram: A Journey of Self-Discovery,” which was published in 1984. Maria reflects on four decades teaching the Enneagram and its main purpose to know one’s own type. She talks about the evolution of her own understanding of this tool, which continues to broaden and deepen, and the shift she has noticed for more inclusivity in the last 35 years. She also discusses what she hopes for the next generation, which is to know themselves and trust their creator.
