Today we're talking about where we put our hope and how what we fill our minds with affects the way we live. In Psalm 37:9, we're reminded that those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land. Hope is more than wishing things will get better—it's an expectation rooted in God's promises!
Pastor Jason and Pastor Scot talk about how easy it is to start our day by filling our minds with negative news, division, fear, and everything going wrong in the world. But what we put into our hearts and minds eventually comes out in our attitudes, our words, and our relationships. If you fill yourself with negativity, you'll begin to see negativity everywhere. But when you fill yourself with God's Word, faith, and hope, it changes how you approach your day.
Instead of letting the news and social media stir up anger or division, we can choose a different response. When we see troubling things happening in the world, we don't have to live in fear—we can let those things move us to pray. God has given us the opportunity to be people who bring hope, love, and encouragement wherever we go.
So what are you going to fill your mind with today? God's promises remind us that this is the day the Lord has made, that we are blessed when we go in and when we go out, and that no weapon formed against us will prosper. Don't let the negativity around you steal the hope God has placed within you!
Be the voice that brings people together. Be the person who encourages others. And when you see something troubling, let it inspire you to pray instead of worry.
Put your hope in the Lord, fill yourself with His promises, and start your day expecting God's goodness!
