Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Jason and Pastor Scot!
Today we're talking about confidence and how guilt, shame, and condemnation can keep us from moving forward in the life God has for us. When we constantly look at our mistakes and think, “God can't bless me because of what I've done,” it can destroy our confidence and keep us stuck.
Pastor Jason and Pastor Scot dive into Hebrews 9 and the powerful truth that Jesus didn't just pay for our sins—He also cleanses our conscience from the dead works of our past. Jesus entered the Most Holy Place once for all, obtaining eternal redemption through His own blood.
Sometimes our biggest obstacle isn't what happened in our past—it's the way our guilty conscience keeps reminding us of it. We think we have to earn God's love or somehow work hard enough to deserve His goodness. But the price has already been paid. It's a gift.
That doesn't mean we never make mistakes. We do! But when we mess up, we don't have to live under condemnation. We can come to God, say we're sorry, get back up, and keep moving forward. God's hand is not against you—it is for you.
Confidence isn't about believing that you can do everything on your own. It's about knowing what Christ can do through you. When you walk with confidence in Christ, you can rise above the circumstances trying to hold you down—the setback, the failure, the financial struggle, the divorce, the disappointment, or whatever you're facing.
So today, get your confidence back. Your past doesn't have the final word. Jesus paid the price in full, and you can move forward with your head held high, knowing that you are loved, forgiven, and a joint heir with Christ.
