Good morning, and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Scot and Pastor Jason!
Today we're talking about God's glory that has been placed inside of you and learning how to let that glory come out into the world around you.
Psalm 35:27 reminds us to “Let the Lord be magnified.” Pastor Scot and Pastor Jason talk about how easy it is to focus on our circumstances, our struggles, our fear, our doubt, or even our bad days. But what's on the outside doesn't change what God has already placed on the inside of you.
They use the picture of a treasure in a jar of clay to explain how God's greatness can be inside ordinary people. We may get tired, discouraged, anxious, or frustrated, but the treasure inside us is greater than the things trying to hold us back.
So how do we let that treasure out? Watch what comes out of your mouth. Instead of constantly speaking what is, start speaking what God says will be. God didn't look at the darkness and simply describe it—He said, “Let there be light.” Your words can begin to change the atmosphere around you.
Maybe your marriage isn't where you want it to be. Maybe your job is difficult. Maybe you're facing a financial struggle or a situation that seems impossible. Don't let your circumstances put a lid on your faith. Begin speaking God's goodness, His promises, and His finished work into your situation.
Take the lid off. Let Christ in you be revealed. Your family, your circumstances, your future, and even the mountains in front of you are waiting to see what God has placed inside of you come out.
