Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Scott and Pastor Jason.
Today we're talking about not missing your turn and learning to trust God's timing. Habakkuk 2:3 says, “For the vision is yet for an appointed time.” Sometimes what God has promised you isn't late—it's simply not time yet.
Pastor Scott and Pastor Jason talk about how easy it is to become discouraged when we see other people stepping into their opportunities, finding their purpose, getting married, building their careers, or experiencing things we've been waiting for. But just because it's someone else's turn doesn't mean you've missed yours.
They use the story of David to show how God makes sure His purposes are fulfilled. David's own father didn't even call him in when Samuel came to anoint the future king. David was out in the field doing what he was supposed to be doing. But when his appointed time came, God made sure David was brought to the table.
The key is to stay at the table and keep doing what God has called you to do. Don't rush ahead because you're afraid you've missed your opportunity. Don't try to take someone else's turn. And don't allow regret or comparison to convince you that God has forgotten you.
Sometimes God is still preparing what you've been praying for. Just like something being prepared in the kitchen, pulling it out too early doesn't make it ready. God knows the right time.
So if you're waiting on a vision, a purpose, a relationship, an opportunity, or something you've been believing God for, be patient. Wait until the gate opens and God gives you the green light.
You haven't missed your turn. Stay faithful, stay ready, and trust the appointed time.
And remember, you were created for greatness. God has placed purpose and potential inside of you so that your life can make an impact and leave a legacy. Don't let condemnation and regret keep you trapped in the past. Forget what is behind and press forward into what God has ahead.
