Vikings vs. Colts Preview: Avoiding the Trap Game with Ball Control and Flores Pressure — Tyler Forness and Producer Dave preview the Vikings’ Sunday matchup vs. the Colts, warning it has “trap game” traits: Minnesota coming off a bye, heavy public confidence, and a tougher game at Detroit next, plus Indianapolis being motivated after firing GM Chris Ballard. They review recent Vikings-Colts history (including the 33–0 comeback) and argue Minnesota must stay focused and lean into a ball-control approach to keep Brian Flores’ NFL-best defense (12.8 points allowed; top ranks in yards allowed) fresh. They note the Colts defense is last in pressure rate and last in EPA per rush allowed, suggesting a run-heavy, long-drive plan with play-action shots. Defensively, they expect Flores to pressure Colts QB Daniel Jones, citing his turnover-worthy plays and struggles vs. blitz, while noting Colts skill injuries. They predict an ugly Vikings win around 26–16 or 27–16 to reach 6–0.
