Vikings Trade Deadline Targets: Pass Rush Priorities, Buckner Fit, and Debating Nelson, Taylor, Bynum, Winfield, and Saquon — Tyler Forness and producer Dave discuss the approaching trade deadline and reports the 5–0 Vikings plan to be aggressive, using the A to Z Sports Trade Simulator to frame realistic costs. Forness argues upgrades should fortify a Super Bowl run, with pass rush/defensive line as the top priority, highlighting Colts DT DeForest Buckner as the best fit for both playoff impact and mentoring rookie Caleb Banks, while warning snap loads on current rushers are too high. They debate other targets: skepticism about trading for OL Quenton Nelson due to scheme fit, rental cost, and Donovan Jackson’s expected return; concerns about an in-season Justin Herbert trade and fit in Kevin O’Connell’s system; interest but questions on Jonathan Taylor’s workload and price; safety upgrades via reuniting with Cam Bynum versus the expense/learning curve of Antoine Winfield Jr.; and potential RB adds like Saquon Barkley or Bucky Irving, plus cheaper options like Payne Durham.
