Why the Vikings Offense Looks Worse Than It Is (All-22, Injuries, and Fixes for Kyler Murray) — Tyler Forness and producer Dave discuss why the Vikings’ 4-0 start isn’t fluky despite a struggling offense, arguing the All-22 offers a more optimistic view but highlighting major issues: Donovan Jackson’s torn meniscus likely ends his regular season, Christian Darrisaw’s neck issue and concussion-like symptoms could sideline him vs. the Saints, and backups Joe Huber and Ryan Van Demark must fill in, with possible lineup shuffles if Michael Jurgens returns. Forness critiques Kevin O’Connell for persistent procedural penalties (false starts/illegal formations) and suggests schematic adjustments to counter linebackers gaining depth by calling simpler quick-game concepts. They note Kyler Murray’s dramatic fourth-quarter improvement (13/14, 120 yards) and growing rapport with T.J. Hockenson, while emphasizing Justin Jefferson’s absence limits the offense and his return could unlock explosiveness.
