Joshua 1:9 “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”
When we stand at a crossroads, fear often speaks first. It points out everything that could go wrong. It reminds us of past disappointments and whether we are really ready for the changes that lie ahead.
Fear can sound so reasonable that we mistake it for wisdom.
Joshua knew what it was to face a Crossroad. Moses was gone, and the responsibility of leading God’s people now rested on him. God did not give Joshua a promise that the journey would be easy. He gave him a command to be courageous and a reason he could obey it: because “the LORD thy God is with thee.”
