In this episode we chat with Laury Raiken, a yoga instructor, personal trainer, mom to two young kids, and an eating disorder survivor. Laury shares her experience as a teen recovering from an eating disorder, and her years working in the health & wellness industry. She describes her journey from being entrenched in diet mentality and wellness culture to being an advocate for intuitive eating and the anti-diet movement. Laury gives real-life examples of the sneaky ways diet culture has shape-shifted over the years, and how we can be gentle with ourselves in the process of unlearning its toxic messages.
