Good afternoon, I'm _ with today's episode of EZ News. Tai-Ex opening  The Tai-Ex opened up 54-points this morning from yesterday's close, at 46,942 on turnover of 8.4-billion N-T. The market bounced back (回升;反彈) from an early slump (低迷;下跌) on Wednesday, as AI-related stocks were in focus after U-S-based A-I server maker Super Micro Computer raised its sales forecast on the back of strong A-I demand. A rebound by the tech-heavy Seoul market also boosted investor confidence here in Taiwan, as rallies by Korean memory chip suppliers Samsung and S-K Hynix boosted interest in their Taiwan counterparts (同業;相對應的企業) Nanya Technology and Winbond Electronics. Former Taitung County magistrate released on bail  The The Taitung District Prosecutors' Office has released former Taitung County magistrate Wu Chun-li (吳俊立) on bail of 5-million N-T and ordered him to wear an electronic monitor. Wu was granted bail by the Taitung District Court after prosecutors had requested his detention (羈押) as part of an investigation in allegations that an agricultural road-widening project unlawfully benefited a project linked to Wu's family's interests. Prosecutors had requested his detention citing concerns he could collude with (與…串通) other suspects in the case to falsify testimony and is considered a flight risk. The investigation began in May after independent Taitung County Councilor Lin Tsan-tien alleged the county government had used public funds to build a road serving a resort complex. Two TSA CubeSats launch into orbit The Taiwan Space Agency says two satellites from its Start-up Starchasing program have been successfully launched into orbit (發射進入軌道). They were launched aboard SpaceX's Bandwagon-5 mission on Tuesday. According to the space agency, both the T.MicroSat-3 and T.MicroSat-4 CubeSats established contact with ground stations in Chile and Azerbaijan early Wednesday morning. The agency says the mission is aimed at testing beam hopping, inter-satellite links, and end-to-end satellite transmission to validate low Earth orbit broadband communications (寬頻通訊) and coordination between satellites. PUTIN AND ZELENSKYY BACK TRILATERAL TALKS AS KREMLIN DISMISSES KYIV'S PROPOSALS AS HAVING 'LITTLE OF VALUE' Russian President Vladimir Putin has agreed in principle (原則上) to resume trilateral peace talks with the United States and Ukraine — the first since February — with a possible meeting around the tenth of November in Abu Dhabi. The development follows a three-hour meeting in St Petersburg between Putin and US special envoy Steve Witkoff, though the Kremlin dismissed European and Ukrainian proposals as containing little of substance (缺乏實質內容). Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has confirmed his interest in the talks but says they should take place no later than early November. Kate Fisher reports from Washington. SKorea Frees Grey Shark Trapped in Canal South Korean officials have freed a large gray shark trapped for over a month in a canal (運河) in Busan. On Wednesday, they used a floating platform to guide the 3-meter-long dusky shark, nicknamed Bukangi, to the sea. The shark was first spotted in mid-September and became a tourist attraction, drawing over 1.7 million visitors. Previous attempts to free it failed. Experts were concerned about its health due to lack of feeding and falling water temperatures. The operation involved maneuvering (操控;使移動) a platform and using nets to prevent the shark from returning. It's unclear how far the shark swam out. That was the I.C.R.T.
