Join Rob McConnell as he welcomes back Lynn Monét, author, paranormal consultant, lecturer, radio personality, nurse, and death doula whose work explores hauntings, dying, death, consciousness, and the possibility of an afterlife. Lynn brings an unusual combination of professional healthcare experience and deeply personal paranormal experiences to the conversation. She has spent more than three decades in nursing, much of it involving geriatrics, management, and end-of-life care, and she also holds a degree in biological science. Lynn is best known as the author of the Omnipresent series, which recounts what she describes as terrifying paranormal events surrounding a home she purchased for herself and her family. According to Lynn, the activity was so disturbing that her family was never able to live normally in the house. Her books include Omnipresent, Omnipresent: What Happened Next, Omnipresent: Becca Dawn Drive and Colors of Heaven: Beginnings Never End. Her official website also lists The Gap: What Else Your Adolescent and Teen Needs to Know and a further Omnipresent installment. What makes Lynn's story particularly fascinating for The 'X' Zone is the intersection between her years working around death and dying and her belief that consciousness does not necessarily end when the physical body dies. Lynn describes herself as an empath capable of perceiving what she believes are interdimensional frequencies and has investigated hauntings, apparitions, otherworldly entities, and unusual experiences associated with death. These are Lynn's interpretations of her experiences rather than scientifically established conclusions, but they provide fascinating material for examining one of humanity's oldest questions: What, if anything, happens when we die?
