Join Amir and I as we reflect on his childhood friend Myke Terry's Bury Your Dead albums, how it was for him to see a close friend joining this band on the rise and how it begat his foray into the touring world.
Amir talks about how it was going from friends with the BYD camp to earning their respect and learning the ropes of the touring world on the fly. Some of the struggles he faced as the band quickly climbed the ranks from smaller clubs to doing arenas, and why he subsequently walked took a break from that life.
We also get into growing up out east, racism in the metal and hardcore scenes, and how it is to be in business with one of your longest tenured friends and how he and Myke have navigated that without it ruining their friendship along the way.
Amir also opens up about his latest endevour, 1Hotslice, which takes an interesting approach to artist managing and consulting form a completely different perspective, and how he came up with it.
All this and more in my chat with the renaissance man himself.
