Today we look at honest and genuine self reflection about what path will truly make us better. Are you training to train improve weaknesses or do you always have one eye on the race and lose the script for why we're doing this in the first place? What do we really need to work on this off season? What mistakes keep popping up and how can we fix them?

No race result is ever truly guaranteed and getting caught up with the end result can lead to sketch decisions in October and November. Being your best usually boils down to becoming world-class at the basics rather than obsessing over a mysteriously amazing race.

It's not sexy but the best athletes aren't constantly focused on the result. They are not changing everything every year. They are going about today's business.
