In 2017, Mica Francis Miller met Charlotte Korn at Solid Rock Church in Myrtle Beach — the same year, it turns out, Mica had secretly married her pastor, John-Paul Miller. Charlotte didn't know it yet, but she would spend the next 7 years watching her closest friend try to survive that marriage.

Charlotte describes a marriage built on a foundation she didn't understand until much later: a secret ceremony timed around a surgery and a bipolar diagnosis that followed a bad reaction to anesthesia. She remembers how beloved Mica was at Solid Rock Church, involved in nearly every ministry. And the night in November 2022 when Mica fled for a few days, and JP responded by texting Charlotte directly, threatening to show up "armed and ready."
But more than that, Charlotte wants people to remember who Mica actually was: the friend who apologized even when she’d done nothing wrong, some who always asked how she could honor God a little better, and a beautiful friend to everyone she met.
