JP's first divorce, from wife Alison Williams in 2015, followed his affair with Mica Francis Miller becoming public. Alison's affidavit describes JP's history of alleged misconduct with teenage girls at Solid Rock Church, restricted overnight visitation with his own daughter, and an unsettling detail from Alison's own account: the husband of a woman linked to JP romantically died in a drowning accident shortly after confronting JP.
