Award-winning comic artist Sanford Greene returns to The Short Box to talk about his massive new DC project, DC All In Saga: Darkseid vs. the World #1, and the surprising connection between Darkseid and his acclaimed 2024 Doom one-shot.

Sanford reveals how a conversation with a comic shop retailer helped spark the idea for his Darkseid story, working with Snyder and Joshua Williamson, and the Jack Kirby and manga influences behind the book

The conversation also dives into Sanford’s growing original art collection, his little-known history creating artwork for MF DOOM’s Viktor Vaughn, the impact of his Ink Alliance variant cover, and an early look at a graphic novel inspired by his childhood in South Carolina. Plus, Sanford shares new details about his work on Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and Beyond the Spider-Verse, and gives a candid update on the long-in-development Bitter Root adaptation.
