🎙️ EP84 | Do You Really Know God? The Bible May Test More Than What You’ve Heard—It Tests What You Obey
You’ve heard God’s name, read the Bible, and attended religious gatherings. Does that necessarily mean you truly know God?
If knowing God were simply a matter of knowing His name, why does Scripture repeatedly emphasize understanding His will and obeying His word?
In this episode, we explore biblical passages and metaphors to examine a challenging question: What is the difference between hearing the truth and truly understanding it?
We’ll consider:
🔎 Why participating in religious activities doesn’t necessarily mean someone truly knows God.
🔎 Is the “Word” in Scripture merely written text, or a truth that must be understood and put into practice?
🔎 What might the “circumcision of the heart” reveal about the difference between outward religious forms and inward transformation?
🔎 If someone hears many teachings but does not follow them, what might be missing from their faith?
Faith is not only about knowing what God has said. It also invites us to understand His will and put that understanding into practice.
What do you think is essential to truly knowing God: reading Scripture, or understanding and obeying His word?
Join us as we examine these questions and reconsider what genuine understanding of faith might involve.
