🎙️ EP78|You Keep Praying for God to Answer—But Are You Actually Following His Will?
Have you ever prayed again and again, asking God for help?
You wait for an answer.
You hope He will open a door.
But have you ever stopped to ask yourself:
While asking God to do what you want, are you willing to do what He asks of you?
Many believers trust that God hears their prayers. But is faith only about asking, believing, and waiting?
In Matthew 7:21, Jesus says that not everyone who calls Him “Lord” will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of His Father.
That raises an uncomfortable question:
Is calling Jesus Lord the same as actually following His will?
📖 The Bible is not only a source of comfort. It also challenges us to examine ourselves.
If Scripture is a foundation for knowing God, we cannot simply accept the passages we like and ignore the ones that challenge us.
Revelation 22:18–19 also gives a serious warning about adding to or taking away from the words of its prophecy.
So we must ask: Are we willing to hear the whole message, or only the parts that make us feel comfortable?
⏳ Why does the timing of seeking God matter?
We often want God to answer according to our own schedule.
But what if an opportunity to seek, understand, or act is already in front of us—and we fail to respond?
Seeking God involves more than waiting for a sign. It also means studying His Word seriously and examining whether we are willing to live by what we learn.
🌳 Why does Psalm 1 compare the faithful person to a tree planted by streams of water?
The image is one of stability, nourishment, and fruitfulness.
A life rooted in God's Word is not built on a temporary burst of enthusiasm. It grows through ongoing reflection, faithfulness, and practice.
Faith is not only for the moments when life goes well, or for the moments when trouble drives us to pray.
It is also revealed in the choices we make every day.
So EP78 asks more than:
“When will God answer me?”
It asks:
“While I am waiting for God to respond, am I willing to respond to His Word?”
If you have been asking God to open a path for you, perhaps the next question is:
Are you ready to walk in the direction He has shown you?
