Without That “Letter,” You Can't Even Know You Have Eternal Life Do you believe in God? But God cannot be seen. Without Scripture, how can you believe in a God you have never seen? Where do we come from? Where are we going? Do we have eternal life? Without the “letter” God has given us, how could we know any of this? This episode takes a fresh look at the true role of the Bible. 📖 This letter was written so that you may “know” you have eternal life 1 John 5:13 says that these things were written to those who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that they may know they have eternal life. Scripture is not only instruction. It is the basis on which we can know eternal life. But if we accept these ideas only in form, and our lives never change, have we truly believed? 🔍 What are you looking for when you search the Scriptures? John 5:39 says people search the Scriptures because they think that in them they have eternal life, yet it is those very Scriptures that testify about Jesus. The goal of searching Scripture is not to collect knowledge, but to know the One it testifies about. Do we truly know God and Jesus Christ? ⚖️ A God you imagined, or the God of Scripture? 2 Corinthians 11:4 warns about those who preach another Jesus and receive a different spirit. When we rely on feelings and imagination to know God, have we quietly created a God of our own making? ✂️ Do not add to it, and do not take away from it Deuteronomy 4:2 and Matthew 5:17-19 both stress that God's Word must not be casually added to or removed, and that there is no “close enough.” This episode also asks us to read God's letter the way we would read a love letter: carefully, word by word. EP77 leaves us with a challenging question: If this letter was written so that you may know you have eternal life, are you searching it to confirm that you truly have eternal life, or only to confirm what you already thought? ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🌐 Join the free Universal Law Community on Telegram Explore Scripture, biblical prophecy, symbolism, faith, and questions worth deeper thought. https://t.me/+PLOI3N1N62c3NTQ9 #BibleStudy #EternalLife #SearchTheScriptures #1John #KnowingGod #JesusChrist #BiblicalTruth #Faith #UniversalLaw -- Hosting provided by SoundOn
