Anderson can fly, shrug off gunfire, and reduce almost anything to ash with a glance. Naturally, he decides the world needs him as its superhero. Calling himself Supreme, he sets out to fight crime, stop disasters, and earn the admiration he knows must follow. But real emergencies refuse to behave like comic books, and the people he intends to save keep finding reasons to fear his arrival. Every mistake gives him something else to explain, while every criticism makes it harder to admit that he might be the problem. As his exploits attract an eager audience and the attention of people who want his power for themselves, Supreme becomes determined to prove he deserves the title of hero. For everyone within reach, that determination is increasingly dangerous.
