Tyler Robinson stood up and made a wild argument. They tried to save him
from the death penalty by arguing that he was simply too good of a
sniper. Robinson is accused of assassinating conservative activist
Charlie Kirk. Today was a massive hearing to decide if the case goes to
trial. The stakes were absolute life or death. In Utah, regular murder
puts you in prison. Aggravated murder means the state can execute you.
To get that higher charge, prosecutors have to prove the shooter
knowingly put other innocent bystanders in grave danger.
