I went inside Radiohead’s KID A MNESIA Motion Picture House in Brooklyn, a large-scale audiovisual installation built around the music and artwork of Kid A and Amnesiac.
In this episode of Record Room, I explore the galleries, enormous paintings, lyric sketches, televisions, sculptures, and artwork created by Thom Yorke and Stanley Donwood during the Kid A and Amnesiac recording sessions.
The experience also includes a 75-minute film accompanied by a new mix drawn from the original multitracks and rendered in six-point surround sound.
Kid A is one of my favorite albums of all time, and this genuinely felt like stepping inside the KID A MNESIA Exhibition in real life. The scale of the artwork, the visuals, and the sound made it one of the most memorable music experiences I’ve had in a while.
Motion Picture House was at the Agger Fish Building in Brooklyn from May 6 to July 12, 2026.
