Researchers at Gran Sasso National Laboratory tested a theory linking quantum collapse to fluctuations in spacetime.
Using a germanium detector deep underground, they found no predicted radiation, ruling out this specific version of gravity-induced decoherence and narrowing the possible explanations for how quantum systems become classical.
